Allison LeBaron has been a landscape painter since 1992. Living in Florida since 1984, she loves the fresh water springs that are in the North Central Florida area. She also loves the beaches on the Atlantic coast and the Gulf of Mexico and the big skies of the local Payne’s Prairie. Her paintings reflect this appreciation for our natural surroundings. Allison's favorite colors are cobalt blue and turquoise, probably because the springs bubble up from the aquifer in these magnificently bright and beautiful colors. Allison is also an accomplished potter and used to be a local ceramic drum maker in town. She also makes leather covered blank journals that sell over the internet at LeBaronBooks.com. Allison received her Bachelors of Art degree from Pennsylvania State University and her Masters of Art Education at the University of Florida.
Allison is married with two children. She also takes care of her elder mother and some dogs and chickens. Allison teaches oil painting to enthusiastic adults in downtown Gainesville at her "Red Door Studio". She also volunteers as Citizenship teacher for International students who are learning English as a second language.
